THE NEST/ROOFTOP BAR/SEATTLE TRAVEL TIPS

Hi lovelies!

So it’s no secret that I love rooftop bars. And here in Seattle, one of the best in my opinion is “The Nest” at the Thompson Hotel. Yes, it’s pricey and can be super crowed at times, but trust me, the view from this trendy spot is worth a visit.

The Nest is located on the 12th floor of the downtown hotel and you really get a great view of everything from the Pike Place Market, Elliott Bay and on a clear day, the breathtaking Olympic Mountain range. My favorite time is actually at sunset when I can sip a cocktail and watch the ferries making their way across the bay. There’s both an indoor lounge and an outdoor terrace with a bar and grill. Seattle is a pretty casual city, but people tend to dress up a bit here which I think isa nice change.

Some things to keep in mind before stopping by:

Prices for cocktails are around 15 dollars and up. Wines by the glass range between 10 and 20 dollars. Also there’s a 20 percent service charge for each check. So plan to ahead, your wallet will thank you 🙂

The Nest is also a popular spot for special events so call ahead to make sure it’s not closed to the public on a particular day.

I would recommend getting here for their happy hour. Come early if you can especially on a nice day because it gets packed. The small plates are pretty good and you get discounts on drinks!
