On the second episode, join us as we leave our rainy home base in Tacoma, Washington to head to the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii for the first season of The Detourist Guide To Travel. Make sure to subscribe to continue following our Maui travel as we spend the next several months experiencing what it’s like to live, work and explore one of the most beautiful places in all of America.
The Detourist Guide To Travel is an immersive, long term travel show for the anti-tourist. We reside somewhere between extended travel vlog and the travel channel, where we insist on taking our time, connecting with the people we meet and enjoying the scenic route. By avoiding travel guides, busy itineraries and tourist traps, we explore how to experience a destination like the locals do, by becoming locals ourselves.
