Janice Deguchi, of Seattle, WA, is the executive director of Denise Louie Education Center & Head Start Program, and past president of the Washington State Association of Head Start and ECEAP, a membership organization representing 72 programs and more than 20,000 low-income children and families in Washington. She’s also a member of the Early Learning Action Alliance, Minority Executive Directors Coalition, and Asian Pacific Directors Coalition. She has served on a number of statewide initiatives, including the Washington Early Learning Guidelines Advisory Committee and the SB6759 Technical Work Group, which is recommending how to implement a universal Pre/K system to the Governor’s Quality Education Council.
