Welcome to Wonderhussy Adventure #177!

This is Part IV of my Northwestern Nevada series, in which some adventurous girlfriends and I set out to explore the hot springs, abandoned cabins and ghost towns of NW Nevada. After leaving Soldier Meadows, we continued on north toward the Oregon border, through some of the most DESOLATE country I’ve ever seen…stopping at two hot springs with somewhat unappealing names: BOG and DYKE. But what’s in a name?! They were both awesome, and beautiful in a very bleak, desolate way.
