Today’s Foodportunity was a great fix for Seattle’s food junkies, complete with lively conversation & delectable snacks. Notables included Serafina’s fig crostini (my fave), Maximus Minimus’ pulled pork sandwiches (a close second) & Rover’s wild blueberry salsa. Not to be outdone by anyone, host Tom Douglas pulled out all the stops with a most consummate suckling pig.
Don’t let anyone tell you twittering doesn’t get you far! After a tweet about the delicious bites from Serafina, I had the pleasure of speaking with a few of the folks from the restaurant, including owner Susan Kaufman. After the chat, I’m definitely looking forward to seeing their new small plates restaurant Cicchetti slated to open soon. If it’s anything like Serafina, Seattle’s getting another fantastic restaurant.
